National parks, State forests, water catchment areas and open space make up more than 70% of the Kalamunda Shire

The area offers a mix of rural and residential area, dotted with vineyards, orchards and hobby farms. You will also find fantastic historic sites, amazing walk trails, a renowned wildlife park, local arts and craft galleries, and public art throughout the townsite, as well as award winning restaurants and cafes and the renowned Kalamunda History Village.
